The first photo is the "main photo", the one displayed in the catalogue and should clearly represent the whole item. It must be taken face on and always sharp and clear.
The main photo of transparent products, or with transparent parts, must be taken against a plain white background so that the result is neat once the photo has been cropped.
Pay attention to lighting while you are taking your photos. The daylight and a plain white background really show off the colors. The use of flash makes items look yellow.
